Famous media person crashes an airplane and dies. End of story and we are usually left to figure out what went wrong and why--well in this case Roth fleshes out the details of what probably happened, puts us into the heads of the Kennedys as well as the investigators. His bio states he has written screenplays--and it shows in this book. Short, cliipped chapters flashing from the Kennedys and the flight to the three investigators- dealing with personality issues of their own. All in all would have made a good movie but still a quick enjoyable read. Roth does a great job explaining piloting and aircraft technical issues to a non aviation reader. For the flying savvy readers --probably most--descriptions of spatial disorientation as a cause of the accident are spot on. All in all a good read for a pilot as well as anyone wanting a deeper insight into airplane accidents and investigations.
